Student Loans No CosignerAre you worried about how you are going to pay tuition fees for your college education? Are you going to need a loan? Most students need some for of financial assistance during their 3 or 4 year college programs. There are many options these days, from government grants to federal and private loans. The issue most students run into is that in order to qualify for these loans you must have good credit. Most students have not had the time or opportunity to establish a good credit rating and many have no credit at all. This may not always determine whether you qualify for a loan or not. Even without a cosigner you may be able to qualify for some financial aid towards your education. Even though the options without a cosigner or strong credit rating may be fewer they are still available. Here are some tips to help find a student loan with no cosigner and no credit history.Tip One Research the different types of loans available to students. The Stafford is one federal student loan that does not check the credit of potential student borrowers. In fact there are other federal loans that are very flexible on bad credit history or no credit history borrowers. This route should be exhausted before you move on to step two. Tip Two Every student should fill out a FAFSA form. This is an application to apply for Federal Student Aid. By filling out this application you will receive information on available loans and grants that you were unable to find information on. The federal government has tried to make grants and loans available to students from middle and upper class families more obtainable in the last few years so you might qualify regardless of your family's income level. Tip Three Move on to applying for a Stafford loan. These loans are small but usually subsidized as well. This will ensure you have some money to start with. These loans cater to low income families so if you do not have a cosigner this can be an ideal place to apply. Tip Four The Perkins Loan is really geared towards very low income families and they offer some very flexible terms. Perkins loans can have a very long payback period as well as very low interest rates. Tip Five If you are returning to school after a prolonged absence than you should make that point clear to financial aid personnel. There are many grants and scholarships available to returning students so make sure if this is the case you use that to your advantage. Recent Student Loan News Feed Search Results Are Unavailable -
